Ireland House Georgia

IRELAND HOUSE, GA. is a non-profit organization established to import and encourage Irish and Scots Irish cultural activities and both communities. To help foster understanding of the economic, cultural and political developments on the island of Ireland and to further encourage an understanding of those developments within the business, cultural and political community here in the southeastern part of the United States.

IRELAND HOUSE, GA. has a specific interest in the support of the unique culture of the island of Ireland. A culture, which has given so much of itself to the rest of the world in written word, poetry, music, musical instruments unique to Ireland, and the arts in general.

Additionally, IRELAND HOUSE, GA. will work with these organizations and entities to support the Northern Ireland Peace Process initiated by the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement of 1998. To work to support the cross border councils and governmental bodies currently working, because of The Agreement, and to enhance an understanding and support of cross cultural activities and functions that support the Agreement.

IRELAND HOUSE, GA. specifically will not involve itself, except in, providing a forum for cross discussion, in the internal politics or political developments of the island of Ireland, in the development of current or future governmental structures, or current governmental interfaces with its neighbors.

IRELAND HOUSE, GA. will work to call attention to U.S. based organizations and cultural activities that have as their goals, the support of the peace process, and ongoing support of the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement.
